Announcing a special Mask Character Workshop taught by Gavin Hawk!

At the Andi Matheny Acting Studios, we always endeavor to provide new and exciting curriculum for our acting community.  And we are thrilled to host for the first time ever a special Mask Character Workshop taught by well-known actor/director/Eckerd College Professor Gavin Hawk!

With the basic philosophy that body movement informs your emotional life and character development, Gavin will guide you through a technique taught to him at The Juilliard School by master acting teacher Pierre Lefevre.   The workshop will include:

– Psycho-physical foundational acting exercises
– Vocal exercises
– Improvisation
– Full Face Character Mask work
– Half Face Character work
– Practical application of the exercises for character development

With this technique you will learn to use your body and voice as a blank canvas as you take on many different acting styles and characters.  This will be a invaluable tool throughout your acting career and indispensable for auditions.

Class size is limited and this workshop will sell out!  So enroll now by using the PayPal button here or email

At the Andi Matheny Acting Studios, it’s our goal to provide you with the best foundation possible for a great career!
